The engagement of Rachel Holmberg to Ted Oberg, both of Shavertown, has been announced by her parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Deborah Holmberg of Tamaqua. She graduated from Tamaqua Area High School in 2003.
In 2007 she graduated from Misericordia University with a bachelor of science in sport management, and in 2010 she earned a master of business administration from Misericordia.
She has been employed at Misericordia University as a senior admissions counselor since 2007.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Christopher and Diane Oberg of Lancaster.
He graduated from Susquehannock High School in 2004 and Messiah College in 2008 with a bachelor of science in marketing.
He has been employed as a financial adviser for Edward Jones since 2008.
The wedding is set for May 19, 2012.
