Jordan Heisler, right, received the Frank Piccin Memorial Award as the Most Valuable Player on this season's Tamaqua American Legion Post 173 baseball team. Ida Piccin, center, presented the award in memory of her late husband Frank, who was a former catcher in the Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies' minor league systems. Heisler is currently a sophmore at Delaware Valley College. The Piccins' son David was also a former catcher and Tamaqua Legion MVP. This is the ninth year Mrs. Piccin has sponsored the award.
