New Ringgold couple wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Herbie Welsh of West Penn Township are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Sept. 23, 1961 at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Tamaqua.

Mrs. Welsh is the former Annetta Lisciana, daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Sozio) Lisciana of Tamaqua.

Mr. Welsh is the son of the late Herbert and Kathryn (Hoffman) Welsh of Tamaqua.

They have one child, Michelle Stelmack, wife of Mark Stelmack of New Tripoli. They have two grandsons, Kyle, a junior at Pitt University; and Tyler, a student at Northwestern High School.
