Tamaqua couple wed 50 years
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kabana
Lawrence and Nancy (Wolfe) Kabana, Tamaqua, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married, Sept. 16, 1961 in St. Bertha's Catholic Church, Tuscarora by the Rev. Charles McNulty.
The best man was the late Stephen Kabana and the late Marie Weiss was the maid of honor.
Nancy is the daughter of the late Carl and Fannie (Hosler) Wolfe. Lawrence is the son of the late John and Helen (Starry) Kabana.
They are the parents of Kevin Kabana, Grand Blanc, Mich. and John Kabana, Tamaqua. They have four grandchildren, Leanne and Brett Kabana, Grand Blanc; and Michael and Katie Kabana, Coaldale.
The couple was honored by family and friends at a surprise dinner party in Tamaqua.
