Two charged after Walmart incident

Charges have been filed against two people for their roles during an incident at the Walmart in Mahoning Township.

Township police said that at 1:52 p.m. Feb. 2, a theft was reported at the store after the person involved fled the store in a vehicle.

Lehighton Police located the vehicle and stopped it. The driver, Trevor Strohl, 36, of Palmerton, was charged by Mahoning Township police with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 22.

A passenger in the vehicle, Angelia Fatzinger, 26, of Ashfield, has been charged with retail theft.

During the stop, police seized 22 stolen items valued at nearly $153.
