Summit Hill couple wed 50 years

Bernard J. and Darlene Y. Wargo of Summit Hill recently celebrated their golden anniversary of 50 years.
They were married on Dec. 2, 1961 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summit Hill, by the Rev. Milton A. May.
Mrs. Wargo is the former Darlene Yvonne Brownmiller, daughter of the late Levi Charles and Darlene Fayette Brownmiller of Summit Hill.
Her husband is the son of the late John Stephen and Anna Wargo also of Summit Hill.
The couple have two sons: David and his wife Katie of Summit Hill; and the Rev. Jeffrey Wargo and wife, the Rev. Stephanie Anne Thompson of Reigelsville.
They also have two grandchildren, Kathryn Ann, daughter of David and Katie; and Evan Thomas, son of Jeffrey and Stephanie.
In celebration of their milestone, the Wargos celebrated with a dinner with family at La Dolce Casa in Tamaqua.
