Lehighton couple celebrate 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Long will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Christmas Day. They were married Dec. 25, 1951.

Mrs. Long is the former Shirley Higgins, daughter of the late LeRoy and Emma Higgins, Lehighton. Her husband is the son of the late Henry and Marjorie (Klotz) Long, Lehighton.

The Longs have five children: Henry Long Jr., and his wife, Sally, of Lehighton; Eric Long, and his wife, Linda, of Albrightsville; Linda (Long) Muffley, and her husband, Mike, of Lehighton; Kevin Long, and his companion, Carolyn, of Lehighton; and Lora (Long) Krum, and her husband, David, of Lehighton.

They have nine grandchildren, and two grandchildren who have passed away. They have seven great-grandchildren.

The Longs were honored at a dinner hosted by their children at the Normal Square Inn.
