Towamensing White and Tamaqua Blue in championship

Towamensing Township White handed Tamaqua Blue a 6-1 setback in the District 18 South Division 9-10 Little League Tournament over the weekend by a 6-1 score to set up the championship game tonight at 6 p.m. at Jim Thorpe.

Tanner Burnett had an inside the park home run, two singles and three RBI for Towamensing. Eric Baumgardt single and double and drove in a run and Matt Doherty also had a single and RBI. Eric Nothstein also drove in a run

Derian Stianche doubled and singled for Tamaqua, while Matthew Gazdick, Michael Bonetsky, Nicholas Breiner and Nate Boyle all added a hit.

Matthew Kistler, Brady Moyer and Cody Hamm handled the pitching for Tamaqua.

Owen Reis, Wade Haydt and Colby Kunkle were on the mount for Towamensing.
