Tamaqua Blue, Franklin in 10-11 winners bracket
Tamaqua Blue and Franklin Township will square off in the winner's bracket final of the District 11 10-11 tournament this week with all eyes set on a championship this weekend.

Tam. Blue-Jim Thorpe
Tamaqua Blue rolled to a 20-0 win over Jim Thorpe.
Cody Scherer was 5-for-5 and Casey Rother was 4-for-5 with a home run in the fourth inning for Tamaqua.
Josh Inama had three hits, including a grand slam, John Burns had two hits with a double in the third and Matt Weaver was 3-for-3.
Zeke Wassell gave up just one hit in getting the win.
Tam. Blue-Hazleton
Tamaqua rolled to a 19-7 win over Hazleton on Sunday.
Cody Scherer was 2-for-2 with a triple, Thaddaeus Zuber was 2-for-3 with a homer in the fifth and Casey Rother was 3-for-4 and also homered.
Zeke Wassell was 3-for-3, Matt Weaver led off the fifth inning with a home run and Reily Mchugh added a double.
Zuber came in relief to help the Blue to their second win.
Franklin-Valley West
Franklin Twp. escaped with a 6-5 win over Valley West on Sunday to advance in the winner's bracket.
Daniel Keer got the win as he recorded eight strikeouts and he also added two hits at the plate including a home run. Jonathan Herman had three hits while Nolan Wentz, Dalton Berger and Frank Bokan collected two hits each.
Franklin had 15 hits in all. Franklin Twp. will play Tamaqua Blue on Thursday.
PVLL 11-12 Tourney
Tamaqua Blue-JT Blue
Tamaqua Blue jumped out to a four-run lead and held on to beat Jim Thorpe Blue 9-7 in a Panther Valley Little League 11-12 Tournament game over the weekend.
Tanner Hamm slugged a grand slam during a six-run fifth inning to give Tamaqua Blue the lead for good.
Teague Schmidt and Eddie Titus also homered for the winners while Mitchell Miller contributed an RBI double.
For Jim Thorpe Blue, Owen Snisky had a two hits, one a double.
Schmidt picked up the pitching win and Titus earned the save.
Tamaqua now faces Weatherly on Thursday night at Weatherly. Jim Thorpe Blue will take on Jim Thorpe Red on Thursday at Jim Thorpe.

Towamensing-Weatherly
Jake Taschler and Mikey Stasko each had three hits as Towamensing handed Weatherly a 12-2 loss in four innings.
Taschler had a triple, two doubles, scored two runs and four RBI. Stasko scored a pair of runs and had one RBI. Seth Demkovitch added a triple and single and Ryan Yacone had two hits and one RBI.
Danny Nicolo got the win, giving up just one hit in three innings of work. Taschler came on to pitch the fourth.
