Tamaqua Blue 4-0 in PVLL tourney

Tamaqua Blue banged out 14 hits en route to a 15-1 over Jim Thorpe Red that lasted four innings in the Panther Valley Little League 11-12 tournament.

Tanner Hamm had a two-run homer and a double, while Teague Schmidt and Brady Akins each had two hits. Kuczynski, Miller, Titus, Zwolenik, Barron, Derr, Evans and Schilling each had hits for Tamaqua.

For Jim Thorpe Red, Marykwas, Valdez and Cressman each had hits.

Tamaqua is now 4-0 in the PV tourney. Its next game will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Tamaqua against Franklin Township.
