July 18, 2002 Scott McGonigal collects three hits, scores three runs and knocks in three to help Jim Thorpe cruise to a 22-2 win over Beaver Banks in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. Joe Hughes and Kyle Porembo add to the onslaught as each finish with two hits and four RBIs. The winners, who score 15 runs in the third inning, also receive two hits and three RBIs from Jake Zurn. Eric Busocker strikes out five in earning the pitching win while Josh Hontz and Patrick Dennis chip in with two hits apiece.
