July 21, 1949 George "Lefty" Keister tosses a five-hitter and strikes out 13 to lead Summit Hill to a 5-2 Panther Valley League win over Tamaqua. Keister also adds two hits, one a double, at the plate and scores a run. Imrich Sarabok, Zuber and "Monk" Robin and all finish with two hits and a run scored for the winners
