August 2, 1962 Bobby Maholick goes 4-for-4 at the plate and scores two runs to help Summit Hill roll past Lansford, 13-4, in the opening round of the Panther Valley Little League tournament. Tom Domarecki contributes to the victory with a double, home run and two runs scored. The winners use a six-run second inning to take control of the game. Frank Kaminicky adds two hits and two runs while John Bashiago and Mike Leonzi each chip in with a hit and two runs scored.
