A Luzerne County woman was jailed in Schuylkill County following an incident that occurred about 4:55 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, at the Schuylkillk Mall.

State police at Frackville said troopers went to the mall for a report of suspicious individuals in the Kmart store. One of the suspects was located at the McDonald's Restaurant. A NCIC check showed that the suspect had an active arrest warrant issued to the Luzerne County adult probation office.

The suspect provided troopers with a false name. She was taken into custody and transported to the barracks where she was fingerprinted. Her true identity was then established as Bambi M. Friday, 33, of Wilkes-Barre.

A search of Friday revealed that she was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. She was placed in the county prison in Pottsville on a detainer filed by Luzerne County. Additional drug charges will be filed against her, troopers noted.
