Artist meet and greet at Tamaqua art center

The Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua, will host a meet and greet session for artist Melissa Rodriquez, a native of the Lehigh Valley, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 6.

Drawn to photography at an early age, Rodriquez has traveled the eastern United States, recording the spirit of nature, using the camera to capture what she sees with her eyes and heart. She doesn't use Photoshop or any other application to alter her original photos.

The exhibit is titled "Spirits of Nature" and includes scenes of animals, wildlife and remnants of beauty.
