The American Red Cross bloodmobile will be stationed at Memorial Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 1-6 p.m. Donors must be 17 years of age or older.

Meet the Olympians

With the new school year approaching and fall sports to begin, Jim Thorpe Area High School will be the scene of the "Meet the Olympians" on Wednesday, Aug. 24, starting at 7 p.m. Members of the fall sports teams, along with their coaches will be introduced to their fans.

Rally Day

Sunday School of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave., will resume with a Rally Day celebration on Sunday, Aug. 28, beginning at 9:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall. In addition to meeting their teachers, the students will enjoy an all school craft and refreshments. World hunger banks will also be distributed at this time.

Children of the Sunday School who have completed the third grade curriculum will be receiving their Bibles. Those children are Alexis Keiper, Daphnie Morris and Hager Rodgers. The regular classes for the Sunday School will begin on Sunday, Sept. 4.
