Published August 20. 2011 09:02AM

A Tamaqua couple was cited Friday following a domestic dispute.

Officers were dispatched to 421 Glenwood Ave. for a reported domestic squabble in progress.

On scene, officers spoke with Daniel Peletsky, 30, and Kathleen Farber, 38. Both admitted to being involved in an arguement that escalated into a physical confrontation. They disagreed on who struck the first blow, but agreed Peletsky struck Farber in the head and she kicked him, injuring his right hand. Both had visible injuries.

Farber refused medical treatment, while Peletsky was transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, in the Tamaqua Community Ambulance.

Both were to be charged with simple assault and harassment.
