September 6, 1985 Garth Lakitsky carries 21 times for 149 yards and three touchdowns to help Tamaqua post a 28-6 victory over Minersville. Lakitsky opens the scoring with a five-yard TD run and later hits paydirt from 88 and three yards. Chris Boyer, who gains 55 yards and nine attempts, adds a three-yard scoring run for the Raiders, coached by Tom Bonner. Tom Butterworth completes 7-of-13 passes for 128 yards including five of the completions to Tom Slover for 106 yards.
