Woman is facing criminal charges

Tammy Lee Conklin, 41, of Lehighton, will be charged by state police at the Lehighton barracks with criminal mischief as a result of an incident that took place between 9:30-9:45 p.m. Aug. 19 at 80 Red Hill Road, Towamensing Township.

Police said the victim is Michael Thomas Conklin, 26, of Summit Hill. Police said he appeared at the above location, at which time he was greeted by the suspect with a baseball bat, which she used to strike the victim's vehicle with the bat, causing $786.73 in damages.
