October 3, 1942 Alex Ferretti and George Boyle both score a pair of touchdowns to lead Lansford to a 26-0 victory over West Hazleton. Boyle opens the scoring with a one-yard scoring run in the second quarter. Before the half ends, an interception by Paul Yanchura sets up Ferretti's short TD run. Ferretti reaches the end zone again, this time from two yards out, in the fourth quarter while a fumble recovery by "Gummy" Stianchi later in the frame results in Boyle's two-yard tally.
