October 4, 1952 Tony Mezza earns his 100th win at Nesquehoning as Joe Fauzio scores a pair of touchdowns and throws for another in a 30-0 shutout of Blythe Township. The Nesquers grab a lead when Don Macenka blocks a punt and Billy Morgans returns it for a touchdown. Fauzio then connects with Paul Ruzicka on an eight-yard scoring toss before adding two one-yard TD plunges. The winners conclude their scoring when Tommy Kanouse's interception eventually leads to his seven-yard TD run.
