Sentenced

Michael James Stewart, of 42 Williams St., Barnesville, who was found guilty by a jury on Jan. 31, of possession of a controlled substance was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve 12 months on probation, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, a $50 monthly supervision fee and perform 20 hours of community service.

On two other charges, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence he was placed on probation for 12 months on each charge to run concurrent with the first sentence. Stewart was cited by Trooper Troy S. Greenawald, state police drug task force, who made the arrest at an apartment in Cumbola.

Divorces granted

Stephen Soley, of 246 Mushdahl Road, New Ringgold, was granted a divorce from Cindy Soley, 77 Lincoln Drive, Tamaqua. They were married Aug. 20, 1993.

Ellen Moyer, 38 Clay St., New Philadelphia, was granted a divorce from Bruce Moyer, 132 Spring St., Tremont. They were married Jan. 31, 2006.

William A. Floyd Jr. was granted a divorce from Cathy A. Floyd, both of 172 Grant Oaks Drive, Nesquehoning. They were married Jan. 17, 1987.

Elliot Waters, Elizabethville, was granted a divorce from Tanya Waters, Hamburg. They were married Sept. 20, 2008.
