Walnutport Canal Association

The 31st annual Walnutport Canal Festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday along the historic Lehigh Canal in Walnutport.

The festival is a mix of education and entertainment, and the profits realized enable it to fund projects to improve the canal and adjoining structures.

This year's festival includes musical groups, as well as many first time highlights. Over the course of the weekend, over 100 volunteers will be thanked who make this event happen.

Slatington Lions Club

Dr. Colin Richardson will speak to the Slatington Lions club at 7 p.m. Oct. 18.

Lions birthday wishes go out to Dave Everett (Oct. 17) and Tom Papay (Oct. 17).
