Eldred Township Halloween Parade

The Eldred Twp. Halloween Parade is this Sunday, Oct. 23 starting at 1 p.m. The parade route will start in the St. Matthew's UCC's picnic grove, will march past the church, right on to Fiddletown Road then right on Kunkletown Road and end in the parking lot of the Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co.

St. Matthew's

St. Matthew's UCC's Laymen's Fellowship are asking for donations of baked goods and Chinese auction items for its annual bazaar on Nov. 5. Please bring donations to the church Friday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. or before 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.

Chestnut Ridge Seniors

The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will be meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co. Please come wearing a Halloween costume. Bring a bag lunch. Cider and doughnuts will be served and bingo will be played for prizes.

PVEN comedy event

The Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network presents a Christian comedy benefit on Sunday, Oct. 23 at St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Saylorsburg, featuring the Rev. Tresita Beach and MC the Rev. Todd Glasmire from 3-4:30 p.m. You are asked to bring a canned or dry good food item to help fill the PVEN food pantry.
