Jason R. Sponseller, 254 N. Mill St., Saint Clair, filed a suit for divorce from Kimberly A. Sponseller, 92 Grier Avenue, Barnesville. They were married July 12, 1986.
Jamie L. Johnson, 49 E. Pine St., Sheppton, filed suit for divorce from Travis G.T. Johnson, 48 W. Brush St., Nuremberg. They were married April 26, 2002.
Theresa A. Salle, 71 Silver Creek Road, New Philadelphia, filed suit for divorce from Leo J. Salle, 304 Schuylkill Avenue, Pott tsville. They were married Nov. 14,1992.
Linda B. Lisella, 12 N. Market St., New Ringgold, started a divorce proceeding against Thomas R. Lisella, 12 Holland St., Tamaqua R.D. They were married Oct. 22, 1993.
Credit card suits
Citibank, N. A., of Sioux Falls, S.D., filed suit against Brenda L. Ritter, 116 Lewis St. Tamaqua R.D., alleging she owes an unpaid balance of $2,451.32 on her credit card.
Sacor Financial Inc., Roseville, Calif., filed suit against Jessica Humanick, 750 Brockton Mountain Drive, Barnesville, alleging she owes an unpaid balance of $3,684.99 on her credit card.
CACH, LLC, Denver, Colo., filed suit against Mark Smolinsky, Zions Grove R.1, alleging he owes a unpaid balance of $2,020.49 on his credit card.
School district sues
The Tamaqua Area School District filed suit against Darron Moyer alleging he owes back school taxes on his property at 304 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, and seeks a judgement for $955.83.
Ejectment suit
Bank of American filed a complaint in ejectiment against Allen R. Ogden alleging he is wrongfully occupying the premises at 69 Water St., Cumbola, as the property was purchased by the bank at a sheriff's sale last June and is asking the court to have him vacate the property.
Granted divorce
Lisa Skotek was granted a divorce from Leo J. Skotek, both of 20 James St., Kelayres. They were married Sept. 7, 1991.
Charles A. Jusinski was granted a divorce from Lois A. Jusinski, both of Frackville. They were married July 21, 1979.
Melanie Roberts, Port Carbon, was granted a divorce from Harry William Roberts, Fleetwood, Berks County. They were married Oct. 3, 1998.
Andrew R. Williams was granted a divorce from Joleen A. Williams, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married Oct. 19, 2002.
Owe school tax
Tamaqua Area School District filed a suit against Matthew D. Ruch seeking a claim of $1,192.26 owed for back school taxes on the property at 347 Archery Club Road and $1,397.12 on a property at 3 Alfalfa Lane, both in West Penn Township.
Tamaqua Area School District filed a suit seeking a judgement of $955.83 be placed on the property at 304 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, owned by Darron Moyer.
Seek eviction
Bank of America, Semi Valley, Calif., filed an action in ejectiment against Allen R Ogden claiming he is living in the property at 69 Water St., Cumbola, which the bank acquired in a sheriff sale last June and is now asking the court to gain possession of the building.
Seek forfeiture
Eagle Rock Resorts Inc., 1 County Club Drive, Hazle Township, filed a suit against Mark and Karen Finkelstein, of 101 Jean Danielson Drive, Greentown, Pike County, alleging they have defaulted on mortgage payments on two lots they purchased from Eagle Rock in the E Subdivision, Eagle Rock Resorts, East Union Township. The suit seeks a judgement for $17,885.53 plus costs or foreclosure on the property.
Sentenced
David Charles Bentz, 43, who entered a guilty plea last Sept. 21 to criminal charges was sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin recently.
On a charge of simple assault he was sentenced to serve 11 1/2 half to 23 months in the county prison with credit for having served 61 days. His sentence begins Nov. 1 at 9 a.m. when he is to surrender to the warden at the county jail. On a charge of illegally possession of a firearm was fined $100. He was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Michael P. Stank, after firing a 22 calibre rifle into the ceiling inside a home.
Revoke probations
Robert Lee Harner, 31, of Hegins, had his probation revoked by President Judge William E. Baldwin and he was re-sentenced on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia to undergo confinement in the county prison for six to 12 months. His 150 days of liberty were taken away and added to his sentence.
Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin revoked the probations of the following:
Justin Robert Moyer, 25, of 295 High St., Tamaqua, was re-sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for 63 days. He will be eligible for parole Nov. 10. Moyer had pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another person last May and was put on probation.
Colby Christopher Stewart, 22, Pottsville, was re-sentenced to serve 26 days to 23 months in the county prison. He had pleaded guilty in August 2010 to theft of a cell phone and was placed on probation.
Jonathan Whately, 21, Williamsport, was re-sentenced to serve two to 12 months in the county prison. He had pleaded guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse at Second Street and East Moser Avenue, and was placed on probation.
