Liquor board cited Carbon business

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited a Carbon County business for violating the state liquor code.

Palm Beverages Inc., 619 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The alleged offense occurred on Aug. 30.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones.

The judge also can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
