Palmerton hires assistant coaches

Palmerton Area School Board at a special meeting on Wednesday approved the following extracurricular positions per the negotiated contract for the 2011-12 school year:

- Francis McCarroll, assistant boys' basketball coach, $2,575 (one-third of assistant salary)

- Erick Kresge, assistant wrestling coach, $3,863.
