Divorces granted

Brittany B. Quintinsky, Vulcan Road, Apt. B, Barnesville, was granted a divorce from Michael P. Quintinsky, Pottsville. They were married Aug. 15, 2009.

Nanessa M. Goepfert, 38 W. Water St., Coaldale, was granted a divorce from Ronald W. Goepfert, 26 Zehner's Crossing Road, Tamaqua. They were married Dec. 23, 2005.

Lisa R. Brinich was granted a divorce from Christopher F. Brinich, both of Pottsville. They were married Nov. 25, 1989.

Erica Ruthan Arnold, Ashland, was granted a divorce from Mark Allen Arnold, Cressona. They were married June 16, 2000.

Beverly Weidman, Pine Grove, was granted a divorce from Gene Weidman, Muir, Porter Township. They were married Dec. 31, 1994.

Lisa R. Walton, 12 Lauarelwood St., Tamaqua, started a divorce action against Bradley F. Walton, 1000 Patriot Lane, Apt. 326, Crestview, Fla. They were married July 10, 1982.

Bail hearing

Henry Becker, 27 Tamaqua, had his bail set at $500 percentage cash by Judge Charles J. Miller but with added restrictions during a bail hearing.

He must reside at 18 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua, and cannot relocate without the district attorney's permission; shall not possess or consume alcohol beverages, controlled substance or have drug paraphernalia; must submit to an evaluation at the VA hospital and comply with any recommended treatment; and shall have no contact with his wife until she submits in writing a letter stating she believes the contact is appropriate.

Becker was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Kasrl Harig, and charged with simple assault and harassment of Mary Becker, his wife.

Everett Patrick Metcalf, 37, Girardville, had his bail set at $10,000 unsecured bail by Miller and must reside at 2 Wild Cat Road, Girardville; not relocate without permission, shall not travel outside the state without permission and must seek employment via Job Security Office. He was cited by Tower City Patrolman John Boyer, and charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Laurann Daubert, 36, Goldsboro, had her bail set at $500 percentage cash by Miller and she must reside at 15 Ute Path, Goldsboro, not possess or consume alcohol beverages or controlled substance and not travel outside of the state without permission. She resided at 602 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, and passed two bad checks, one for $181.50 to Wargo Coal and Oil Company and another for $178 to B&B Heating Oil Company.

Christa Marie Lopez, Shenandoah, had bail set at $1,000 percentage cash by Miller and she must reside at 117 E. Coal St., Shenandoah, with her sister, Tiffany Sanchez, and cannot relocate without permission. She also must secure employment. Lopez faces a charge of retail theft.

William James Strimboulis Jr., Pottsville, had his bail set at $10,000 unsecured bail by Miller and he must reside at 1631 W. Norwegian St., Pottsville, and cannot relocate without permission, cannot possess or consume alcohol or drugs and cannot travel outside the state without permission. He was cited by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers, with possession with intent to deliver a controlled subsstance.

Guilty plea

Korey Wronsky, New Boston, Mahanoy Township, pleaded guilty to charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.

Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin directed he be committed to a state correctional facilty for an evaluation to determine if he is eligible to be placed in the state's Intermediate Punishment Program. He also must make restitution of $533.33 to Stefanie Wiezalis, 361 Roosevelt Drive, Mahanoy Township, from whose home he took jewelry and cash.

Violates order

Todd Swantak, 43, of Frackville, was found guilty by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine on a charge of indirect criminal contempt for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order issued against him by Judge John J. Domalakes. He was fined $500 and costs. Swantak violated the court order by contacting the protected party by telephone at her place of employment.
