Golden Agers

At the Oct. 24 meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers, Greta Weaver of Quality Personal Care in Lehighton spoke to the group about the various services that are available through the agency. She also provided some useful safety tips.

A Christmas party will be held on Dec. 3 and any members who wish to attend must sign up at the next PVGA meeting on Monday, Nov. 14 at St. Joseph's Hall, Summit Hill at 1 p.m.

Bingo will be played if there is enough interest.

St. John Lutheran

St. John Lutheran Church, Lansford, will hold an informal worship tonight at 7 o'clock in the church.

This will be a spiritual, peaceful evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief musical evening prayer. For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper is served at 6 o'clock, followed by a brief adult Bible study and confirmation program at 6:30.

Tax office closed

The office of Lansford tax collector Daniel J. Wynn will be closed Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
