Food pantry

The Shepherd House Food Pantry at Ebenezer E.C. Church will be open on Saturday Nov. 12 from 9-11 a.m. Recipients must live within the Jim Thorpe Area School District and fall within required income levels.

Please consider making a donation to the bin in the Jim Thorpe Market foyer to help families keep food on their tables during the upcoming holiday season. Gently used winter coats, boots, and toys can also be dropped in the bin or at the church, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Leaf pickup

Leaf pickup in the borough is being held this week and next week. The leaves will be picked up on the east side of town until Friday, Nov. 11. Beginning Monday, Nov. 14, the west side and heights sections will have collection.

Call the borough office at (570) 325-3025, so that officials will have a listing of collection areas. All leaves are to be curbside.
