PennDOT backhoe sustains damages

State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident whereby a backhoe owned by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation was damaged.

The incident happened between 2:45 p.m. Nov. 9 and 7:30 a.m. Nov. 10 from a site along State Route 4033 at Faux Hill Road in Zion Grove, North Union Township.

Police said someone smashed the window of the 2000 John Deere backhoe.
