Underage drinking

A 17-year-old from Coaldale was charged after Summit Hill police performed a traffic stop on Oct. 9.

According to borough police, officers initiated a traffic stop at 12:55 p.m., on a vehicle who committed a traffic violation. As officers conducted the stop, they discovered that a 17-year-old, who was a passenger in the vehicle, had been drinking alcohol.

He was charged with underage drinking.
