Detour ended
Tamaqua borough manager Kevin Steigerwalt wants to make sure readers know last weekend's 18-plus mile detour will not be repeated anytime in the near future.
The detour was due to replacement of a rail line, not the continuing bridge construction project.
The bridge project, which will take months to complete, will not require a detour as PennDOT is creating a temporary bridge over the Little Schuylkill River.
