Cooking oil taken at Penn's Peak

The theft of 75 gallons of used cooking grease from the Penn's Peak restaurant in Penn Forest Township is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said the incident happened between 9-9:30 a.m. Dec. 9 when a white male arrived at the property and removed the grease after misrepresenting himself as a new contractor.

The grease is valued at $187.50.
