Police are probing Penn Forest breakin

A burglary that happened between 8 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. Dec. 6 at a home in Penn Forest Township is under investigation by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The victim is Robert A. Christman, 43, of 1729 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

He told police someone entered his residence and removed two lock boxes from a bedroom closet. One of the boxes contained about $1,000 in cash while the other one had various paperwork in it.

Police said the intruder(s) fled in an unknown direction. There was no forced entry at the residence, police added.
