Question raised over the Scholar Athlete award at Panther Valley

Dear Editor,

To the Panther Valley Football Association:

Yesterday, I picked up the paper and after reading the sports section I could not believe it.

The Scholar Athlete Award was given to the WATER BOY/equipment helper! He never even played!

ARE YOU KIDDING? What a Joke!

What a way to slap the face of the players who played their hearts out, with sprains, sore muscles, broken bones and dedication to the sport.

Is it any wonder why the enrollment in PV sports is declining?

Come on PV ... if they wanted to give this student an award, I'm sure they could have come up with a special one. BUT, Scholar Athlete...REALLY!
