The Lehighton boys ended a long losing streak and Jim Thorpe returned to winning ways in boys basketball over the weekend.

DJ Rossino led the Indians (1-12) with a 21-point performance, while Nate Kresge and Aaron Szacska both added 12 apiece.
The Roughies' Zak Edwards recorded a team-high 11 points, while Jarad Strong netted 10 points.

Four players scored in double figures as Jim Thorpe recorded a 73-62 non-conference win over Williams Valley.
Dean DiBonifazio paced the Olympians (5-10 overall) with a 20-point performance, while PJ Johnson followed suit with 18 points. Teammates Dane Ciavarella and Thomas Pontnicki hit for 12 and 10 respectively.
The Vikings' Brandon Miller finished with a team-high 19 points, while Colin Harrison chipped in with 11.
In the JV game, Williams Valley needed an extra frame to score a 52-47 overtime victory over Jim Thorpe. The Olympians' Khaaliq Lynch ended up with 11 points.

The Blue Raiders used a huge third-quarter comeback to pull close to Nativity, before dropping the final, 49-47.
Tamaqua outscored their guests 20-6 in the third, but the victors held on.

Jim Thorpe at Spartan Invitational Round Robin Tournament
Jim Thorpe traveled to North Schuylkill for the Spartan Invitational Round Robin Tournament over the weekend and ended up taking home a total of seven medals.
The Olympians' Brian Ohl (112), Justin Mazzella (145), Jon Fritz (160) and Phil Schron (189) all finished with second-place finishes, while James Denny (130) and Christian Gavornick (171) both recorded third place finishes. Teammate Tyler Mangold earned a fourth-place finish.
Catasauqua-Northwestern
The Tigers wrestlers have lost a couple close matches lately and this one proved no different, as the Rough Riders pulled out the team bout with a 37-36 Colonial League win.
Picking up big points for the locals were Ethan Keichel's pin at 125, Mike Ortiz's at 130, while Bobby Clymer (152), Kyle Sorenson (160) and Levi Veppert all tacked on mat-slappers for the close loss.
