Siblings named to fall dean's list
Brent and Brittany Homcha of Nesquehoning were recently notified by their respective colleges that they have attained the dean's list for the fall 2010 semester.
Brent attends the Pennsylvania State University at University Park. He is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering and is a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He is very active in the Penn State Dance Marathon, THON, which raised $7.8 million in 2010 for the fight against childhood cancer. He also participates in numerous intramural sports.
Brittany attends Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pa. She is a junior majoring in biochemistry and is a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She is active in the W&J Ski Club, as well as numerous health volunteer organizations. She plans to pursue further studies in medicine.
Brent and Brittany are the children of Stephen and Marge Homcha of Nesquehoning, and the grandchildren of Frank and Helen Homcha of Nesquehoning and Joseph and Florence Filip of Summit Hill. They are 2008 graduates of Marian Catholic High School.
