Commissioned as Army officer

Daniel Antinucci of Jim Thorpe, was commissioned as a second lieutenant of the U.S. Army on Thursday, May 12. Antinucci was commissioned through the ROTC program at Widener University. He graduated from Widener on May 14 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. During his senior year at Widener, Antinucci served as the Alpha Company executive officer and the recruiting officer for Widener's Freedom Battalion. Antinucci will enter active duty to attend the Army Nurse Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Antinucci's brother, 1st Lt. Eric Antinucci, participated in the commissioning ceremony by administering the oath of office to him.
