Seek foreclosure

Financing companies have filed suits against property owners who allegedly have defaulted in mortgage payments seeking to foreclose on the property if payments are not made.

Wells Fargo Bank filed suit against Jan S. Laureniti alledging he had defaulted payments on the property at 418 Mountain Avenue, Tamaqua and owes $86,480.95.

American General Financial Services Inc., Berwick, filed suit against Mariann Witner and William B. Witner alleging the have defaulted on payments on their property at 736 Green Mountain Road, Zions Grove, North Union Township, and owe $86,480.95.

Susquehanna Bank filed suit against Stanley J. Costello, 180 E. High St., Coaldale, and Alfonso J. Sebia, last known address, 305 MIll Road, Lehighton, who are co-partners of A&A Associates Inc., claiming they have defaulted on mortgage payments on their property at 193 Mantzville Road, West Penn Township, and owe $271,819.04.Credit card debts

A number of financial institutions have brought suit against a number of credit card holders alleging they have defaulted on keeping up payments and seek a judgement to be entered against them.

First National Bank of Omaha, Omaha, Neb., filed suit against John A. Williams, 438 Hughes St., New Ringgold, alleging he owes $11,676.85.

Discovery Bank, New Albany, Ohio, filed suit against Gretchen Robbins, 601 Arlington St., Tamaqua, alleging she owes $2,178.15.

Portfolio Recovery Associates, Norfolk, Va., filed suit against James Leibenguth, 18 S. Lehigh St., Tamaqua, alleging he owes $4,208.31.

GE Money Bank, Alpharetta, Ga., filed suit against Barbara Garber 148 Grier Avenue, Barnesville, alleging she owes $6,049.38.

Granted divorce

Hannah S. Kreiser was granted a divorce from Scott A. Kreiser, both of Pine Grove. They were married June 20, 2004.

Mandy C. Eckert, Port Carbon, was granted a divorce from Adam J. Eckert, Minersville. They were married Dec. 6, 2008.Owe back taxes

Tamaqua Area School District filed petitions to court to impose liens on property owners who allegedly are in arrears in paying school property tax.

Thomas Katkocing, 38 Chestnut St., Lansford, allegedly owes $770.28 on his property at 37 Railroad St., Tamaqua, which is located in the school's district.

William J. Motzer Jr., 604 N. 16th St., Allentown, allegedly owes $887.12 on real estate at 158 Spruce St., Tamaqua.

Douglas and Melissa Schartel allegedly owes $575.77 on their property at 114 Market St., Tamaqua.

All About Homes, LLC, of 492 Blue Mountain Road, New Ringgold, allegedly owes $741.80 on a property at 112 W. Broad St., Tamaqua.

Jan S. Laurenti allegedly owes $2,455.89 on a property at 418 Mountain Avenue, Tamaqua.

Panther Valley School District filed a petition to enter a lien for $671.97 on the property at 128 Miner St., Coaldale, owned by Irene Maachay.

Bench warrant

Stephen A. Clark, 22, Germanville, was brought before Judge Jacqueline Russell on a bench warrant which was issued after he failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing. The warrant was vacated by Russell and she set bail at $500 percentage cash with the stipulation he must reside in Neffs, Lehigh County, refrain from criminal activity and must appear in court.

Clark was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Richard Bekesy, on Jan. 15, 2009, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and several motor vehicle code violations when he was stopped on Owl Creek Road.
