Lehighton couple wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Rex will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday. They were married on June 24, 1961 in Lehighton.

Mrs. Rex is the former Nancy Solt, daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Solt, Lehighton.

Mr. Rex is the son of the late Edwin and Lula Rex, Lehighton.

The couple have five children: Kevin and his wife Debra, Lehighton; Shelly and her husband Charles Kurdziel, Lehighton; Scott and his wife LeeAnn, Lehighton; Jeffrey and his wife Michelle, Lehighton; Jody and David Cressley, Weissport.

They have six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
