Carbon driver facing DUI count

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Slatington.

Borough police said about 2:08 a.m. on Dec. 24 officers made a traffic stop along Main Street at N. Walnut Street, after observing the vehicle being operated on a flat tire.

The driver was identified as William Gribble III, 29, of 374 W. Bertsch St., Lansford. Gribble was found to be under the influence and taken to the Lehigh County DUI Center for a blood test. The test result showed Gribble had a .08BAC.

He was also charged with careless driving, police said.
