A Schuylkill County teenage driver is facing multiple charges following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:25 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, along Mount Olive Blvd. (SR4031), in West Mahanoy Township.

State police at Frackville said a 16-year-old male from Shenandoah was driving a 1997 Pontiac Trans Sportes southbound and approaching the intersection with SR54 when he lost control of the vehicle while crossing railroad tracks. The vehicle continued through a posted stop sign, crossed 54 where it struck an embankment on the property of 319 Mount Olive Blvd. It then continued onto the property where it damaged the property landscaping. The vehicle came to rest about 40 feet onto the property against a landscaping pond.

The teen was not injured. Troopers said he will be cited for careless driving, stop sign violation, driving on roadways laned for traffic, no seat belt and driving without a license.
