Published January 14. 2011 05:00PM

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a traffic stop about 2:25 a.m. today.

State police at Frackville said Keith M. Kalkiewicz, 25, of Mahanoy City, was stopped for a traffic violation along SR924 (Gold Star Highway), in West Mahanoy Township, just outside Shenandoah.

Kalkiewicz was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests.

He was taken into custody and transported to the barracks for a breath test.

The test revealed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent, troopers said. Charges will be filed.
