DUI arrests reported
State police at Lehighton reported on several driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently.
On Dec. 28 about 8:30 p.m. troopers stopped James Michael Vaughn, 42, of Jim Thorpe, along SR903 at Church Road, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, for DUI. Troopers said the charge is pending.
On Jan. 4 about 12:30 p.m. troopers found Robert F. Dreste Jr., 47, of Stroudsburg, behind the wheel of a 1999 Chrysler Sebring unconscious along Gower Drive, in Eldred Township, Monroe County, with the engine running. He was taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), in East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The charge is pending.
Also on Jan. 4 about 5:30 p.m. troopers responded to a reported crash with a rollover on Kunkletown Road at Princess Lake Road, in Eldred Township. Upon arrival troopers found a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 truck on its roof. The driver was identified as Terry Lee Cadmus, 55, of Pen Argyl. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI. He will be charged, troopers said.
On Jan. 5 about 8:37 p.m. troopers stopped James Connell, 30, of Summit Hill, operating a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, for traffic violations. Troopers said Connell was found to be under the influence and was in possession of drug paraphernalia and will be charged.
On Jan. 6 about 5:30 p.m. troopers stopped Craig Ronald Snyder, 44, of Saylorsburg, along Kunkletown Road at Cocoran Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County, for an expired registration. He was also found to be driving a vehicle with a counterfeit registration plate, registration card, and inspection sticker. He was also found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. Charges are pending troopers said.
