Schuylkill theft

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft incident that occurred in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said unknown criminals entered a hay shed located at Stanhope and Mexico roads, in Pine Grove Township, by smashing a glass door. Once inside they removed two 24-foot copper cables ($100 value) and a Craftsman industrial ratchet set ($250 value).

The shed is owned by Leroy Martin, 56, of Denver, Lancaster County, and occurred sometime between Jan. 27 at 10 p.m. and Jan. 28 at 4 p.m.
