January 27, 1948 Bill Brown scores a game-high 21 points and Tamaqua rebounds from a slow start to post a 52-49 Black Diamond League win over Nesquehoning. Brown also comes up with a key shot with under a minute to play to help secure the victory. The Raiders, who trail 11-4 after the first quarter, also receive 16 points from Charley Baer while Franklin Knotts chips in with seven points.
