Carbon man jailed for Lehigh incident

A Carbon County man has been jailed for incidents in Lehigh County in which he allegedly exposed and fondled himself in public.

State police at Bethlehem said Timothy James Shelly, 43, of the 500 block of Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, has been charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.

Troopers accused Shelly of exposing and fondling himself in front of female customers at the Target Store along Airport Road in Hanover Township, on two occasions - Jan. 2 and 19.

He was arraigned on the charges on Friday, Jan. 28, and committed to the county prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
