Northwestern and Lehighton both suffered girls basketball losses in local scholastic action.

Ther Lady Tigers stayed with the Bulldogs for the first period and then fell behind, dropping a 53-30, non-league decision.
Juli Weber and Taylor Troutman both finished with 12 points for Tri Valley. Sara Jones had a game-high 15 points for Northwestern.

The Lady Cavs squeezed out a 38-31 Mountain Valley Conferene win over the Lady Indians on Friday night by a 38-31 score.
Lisa Steakin finished with 11 points and Dominique Homer added 10 for East Stroudsburg South. Jordyn Homyak was the lone Lehighton plyer to hit doubles with 14.
The Cavaliers also won the JV game by a 24-19 score.
