Monroe resident facing drug count

A Monroe County resident is facing a drug count and another charge following an incident that occurred about 8:43 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at an intersection in Pocono Farms East, Kings Court, Coolbaugh Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers observed several vehicles at the location.

During contact with one of the persons at the scene, identified as Daron Hesterbey, 22, Blakeslee, he allegedly attempted to conceal three plastic bags of marijuana under a vehicle. During a pat-down Hesterbey was found to have more marijuana on his person.

Hesterby was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence.
